Last October, our school was buzzing with excitement because of the awesome Spelling Bee Contest.
This event brought together students from grades 3 to 5 to show off their word skills. Let’s take a quick look back at what happened and why it was so cool!
The Spelling Challenge
In this competition, each grade level faced off separately, with students spelling their way to victory. The preparation was intense, with word lists provided for third, fourth, and fifth graders containing 250, 300, and 350 words respectively. The determination of our young wordsmiths as they memorized these words in a short time was truly impressive.
The Big Day
On the day of the Spelling Bee Semi-Final Round, students gathered under the guidance of their English teachers. They spelled words that really put their word skills to the test. It was all about showcasing what they knew, and it was exciting to witness their knowledge, bravery, and love for learning on full display.
What’s Coming Up
Now that the Spelling Bee Semi-Final Round has ended, we’re waiting to find out who made it to the finals. About 10 students from each grade level will get a chance to compete for the title of Spelling Bee Champion. We’re super proud of all the students who worked hard and took part. Let’s cheer them on and celebrate the awesome word wizards in our school community as we get ready for the finals!
