Which Burger Brand is the Best?

Do you have at least a single experience of having a burger or French fries? Our team surveyed the topic of “Which Burger Brand is the Best?” for the targets of twenty-four students and eleven English teachers.
We predicted that McDonald’s would have the most votes among the choices: McDonald’s, Burger King, Lotteria, and others. McDonald’s and Burger King are the two most popular burger brands around the world, and they are competing for first place. Lotteria is a Korean burger brand with exotic and new menu items.
The others might be Shake Shack, In & Out, etc. The results were divided into two. McDonald’s and the others. There were zero votes for Lotteria and only four votes for Burger King. The reasons were that the “Fries are soggy” and “It’s too oily.”
Among the people who voted, others liked Shake Shack the most. The final results are that fifty-four percent of people liked others.

What Electronic Device Would You Buy?

We have all wondered at least once about what brand of electronics we would buy. So, out of curiosity, we decided to make a poll about it to see what people think. The choices were Apple, Samsung, and LG. The results of this poll were very interesting.
When we were making the poll, we predicted that most of the girls would choose Apple and the boys would prefer Samsung. And that nobody would pick LG.
It turned out that our predictions weren’t completely off track. We had the most votes for Apple with seventeen votes in total, eight from the boys and nine from the girls. Samsung had five votes. Three of the girls and two of the boys.
Although our prediction was wrong about Samsung, we were correct that Apple would win in total. Overall, it helped answer the questions that we had about who would win.

Harry Potter Characters

Our topic is about Harry Potter characters. There are four choices: Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter, Luna Lovegood, and Cedric Diggory. We chose these for a variety of reasons.
People who like Malfoy and Cedric Diggory like them because they are handsome. Harry Potter is friendly, and he’s the main character. Lastly, for Luna Lovegood, she is unique, energetic, fun, and kind. Our group thought that Malfoy would get the most points because many students in our class think that he’s handsome.
We queried our classmates, teachers, and others. Our prediction was right. Draco Malfoy got fourteen points, Harry Potter got nine, Luna Lovegood got eight, and Cedric Diggory got two.
Surprisingly, many girls liked Luna Lovegood, and Draco Malfoy came in second place. For the boys, Draco was first, followed by Harry Potter.
Lastly, for the teachers, Bryan Teacher picked Luna Lovegood while Michael, Ellie, and our Homeroom teacher all picked Draco Malfoy.

Favorite Online Media

Do you often use online media? The use of online media is increasing these days. There are many different sites for online media like YouTube, Netflix, Naver, Tving, Webtoons, and more. So we had a question about our classmates’ favorite online media preferences.
We predicted that YouTube would be the favorite of the students. We also predicted that KakaoTalk would be in second place. We surveyed Kyonggi Elementary School’s 6th-grade Ume class to find out what their thoughts were.
Our prediction was almost right. Seven girls and seven boys voted for YouTube as we expected. YouTube was the most popular. One girl and one boy voted for Netflix, which came in fourth. Also, two girls and one boy voted for webtoons and KakaoTalk. The prediction that KakaoTalk would be in second place was right.
Surprisingly, webtoons tied for second place! In addition, one boy did not vote because he did not know the directions.

Jin Ramyeon: Spicy vs. Mild

Recently, on social media, there was a debate about which Jin Ramyeon is better, mild or spicy. Some background about these two ramen. The mild flavor is 640 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), which is not very spicy, and the spicy flavor is 1,200 SHU, which is spicy.
We polled twenty-four students to see their preferences about Jin Ramyeon. The students polled were a mix of girls and boys. We predicted that the students would prefer the spicier flavor. We also predicted that the girls would prefer the spicier flavor more than the boys.
Most of our predictions were wrong. Fourteen students voted for the mild flavor. Also, the girls preferred the mild flavor compared to the boys. Eight girls and six boys voted for mild. On the other hand for the spicy flavor, four girls and five boys voted for it. Our prediction was wrong. Eventually, we learned that Rose class prefers mild Jin Ramyeon over spicy. From our findings, we can finish the debate over Jin Ramyeon. That mild flavor is preferred over the spicy flavor.

What Is the Best Cut of Meat?

We tried to gather data about four different kinds of meat that we thought were delicious. The choices that we picked were pork belly, steak, pork ribs, and jowls. We picked these meats because we believed that everyone would be interested in this topic. Pork belly gives us a soft texture when we chew, and steak is hard to explain (which means it is too delicious). Ribs give us happiness when we take them off the bone. Lastly, jowls have a salty taste.
We had predicted pork belly would have the most votes, and steak would have the second most votes, and then ribs, and jowls. But our data gave us a shocking result. Our data said that steak had the most votes picked by the boys. Five boys and six girls voted for it. Ribs had the second most votes, which was three boys and three girls. Pork belly had two boys and three girls, including our homeroom teacher. Lastly, Jowls had one boy and two girls.

Your Favorite Class at Hogwarts

Have you ever heard about Harry Potter? The biggest reason why we chose this topic is that it is popular all over the globe. Also, our grade’s theme of the year is Harry Potter. So, our topic is “Your Favorite Class at Hogwarts.”
We surveyed our Rose class students and twelve teachers. From the four choices (Potions, Defense Against the Dark Arts, The Care of Magical Creatures, and Flying), we predicted that the most popular class would be Defense Against the Dark Arts and the least popular would be Potions.
The results were surprising. The most popular class turned out to be Flying, and Defense Against the Dark Arts was second. Also, the least favorite class was The Care of Magical Creatures.
Flying got nineteen votes, Defense Against the Dark Arts got twelve votes, Potions got three votes, and The Care of Magical Creatures got two votes.
In conclusion, we surveyed 36 people, and the results told us that Flying was the class that most people were interested in.

What Is Our Class’s Common Communicating Method?

Everyone needs to communicate with others. There are lots of apps that can help us communicate with others, like DM’s, Kakaotalk messages, normal messages, Discord chats, video calls, and Line.
Among these, our team picked four famous apps for our classmates to choose from. We have DM’s, KakaoTalk, normal messages, and Discord. We polled twenty-four students to get an idea of what the results would be. Our group predicted that our classmates would pick Kakaotalk the most, and DM’s would be the last one.
Luckily, our team’s prediction was right! Kakaotalk got the most stickers, and DM’s got zero stickers. Nobody picked it. Thirteen people preferred KakaoTalk, and six people preferred normal messaging. Also, five people preferred Discord. Women use Kakaotalk and messages more than boys, and boys use Discord more than girls. Additionally, our class’s common communication method is KakaoTalk, with thirteen students voting for it. Also, we learned that our class doesn’t use Instagram DM’s.

Diversity of Ramyeon

A large percentage of people all over the world enjoy eating ramyeon. They eat it because it’s cheap, easy to make, and delicious. Let me tell you which ramyeon Orchid class likes.
At first, we thought Shin Ramyeon would be the ramyeon most people voted for because Shin Ramyeon is Korea’s most loved ramyeon. However, Buldak Ramyeon got the most votes. Also, we predicted Yukgaejang would get the least amount of votes because in other countries, Yukgaejang doesn’t even exist. However, Yukgaejang was the second most voted ramyeon. We bet Koreans like it anyway. We predict that if we polled more people outside of Korea, though, Yukgaejang would be ranked much lower.
In conclusion, no matter how many different kinds of ramyeon there are, they all bring us together. Diversity doesn’t divide us, it makes us better and beautiful. Don’t be afraid to be different because you might be the last puzzle piece. So, believe in yourself.

Favorite School Subject

Have you ever wondered which subjects students enjoy the most? Is it solving tricky math problems, doing fun experiments, reading Korean stories, or learning about history and the world in social studies?
To find out, we conducted a survey with twenty-two students. Before the vote, we predicted science would be the most popular. We also thought boys would choose social studies and girls would choose Korean as their favorite subjects. We were curious to see the real outcome. We really wanted to know what classes our friends enjoy being in every day.
After the vote, science was chosen by two boys and one girl, math was chosen by two boys and seven girls, and Korean was chosen by one boy and one girl. Lastly, social studies was chosen by five boys and three girls. So, math became the most popular subject and the most popular subject for girls. Boys’ most popular subject was social studies.

Which Snack Do You Prefer?

Koreans love to go to convenience stores, and they also buy various snacks. The most typical snacks are Whale Meal, Chocolate Mushrooms, Banana Kick, and Honey Butter Chips. We asked our class and teachers to vote for their favorite.
We thought girls would vote for sweet snacks and boys would vote for salty snacks, such as Whale Meal for boys and Chocolate Mushrooms for girls. Also, according to ChatGPT, there is a study that found 60% of men prefer salty flavors, while 65% of women prefer sweet flavors. That’s why we predicted that girls would like Choco Mushrooms and boys would like Whale Meal.
Based on our results, we were right. The boys mostly voted for Whale Meal, and the girls voted for Choco Mushrooms. There were ten boys, and six of them voted for Whale Meal. That’s more than half! Also, four of the twelve girls voted for Choco Mushrooms. It’s a small number, but it was the one most voted for. Now we can estimate what the most popular snacks are among our classmates.

What You Buy the Most at a Convenience Store?

Nowadays, many students go to the convenience store because of their academics. So, we were curious about what things students buy the most at a convenience store. There were four choices, which were ramyeon, triangle kimbap, drinks, and chips.
We guessed that ramyeon would get chosen the most because ramyeon is loved by a lot of people all over the world and is very popular in Korea.
Orchid class students voted for the things they buy the most at a convenience store, and the results were a shock! We thought that drinks would get the fewest votes, but it came in first with nine votes. After that, triangle kimbap came in second place with seven votes. Ramyeon was third with four votes, and chips came in last with two votes. Ramyeon wasn’t really popular in our class!
Even though the things that we predicted were all wrong, we got to know that many students buy drinks the most at a convenience store.

Best Movie Snack

Many people watch movies when they are sad or feeling good. Since almost everyone likes watching movies, we should not forget snacks. Because of this, we wondered what others like to eat when going to see a movie. Our options are caramel popcorn, salted popcorn, butter squid, hot dogs, and others.
To get results, we polled twenty-four students and four teachers. Voters were mixed. Students and adults. Koreans and Westerners. We expected that salted popcorn would be the most liked by voters.
The results were very interesting. Caramel popcorn was voted for the most. Butter squid was next, then salted popcorn in third, with hot dogs in fourth. Surprisingly, the “other” choice was not even picked.
We think caramel popcorn is most popular because it’s cheap and sweet. Additionally, our class and teachers liked caramel popcorn and butter squid. Which of these would you choose?

What Place Do You Want To Go To?

Traveling is a special journey that allows you to experience new cultures and go beyond the boundaries of everyday life. In particular, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and Japan are considered the most popular travel destinations in the world. These four countries have their own unique charm, due to their different cultures.
Our prediction of who would win was the US. It is because of its fame that tourists around the world know about its famous cities such as New York City and L.A. Because of all these factors and its famous landmarks like the Statue of Liberty, the US would win.
The results of the poll showed the US got 0 votes in last place. Japan had four votes. The UK had 8 votes and Switzerland had twelve votes, which made it in first place. We weren’t too surprised when Switzerland got the first place because of its beautiful landscapes of Emerald Lake and the Alps. The UK has towers like Big Ben, and Japan has temples and hot springs. These are the reasons we think they were voted for.

The Best Convenience Store

Many people use convenience stores for their various needs. Convenience stores are necessary. Today, we are going to introduce three of the most common CVS and present the results of our examination.
Our crew believed that CU would get the highest popularity vote because it has many products. More than the other stores. Also, we predicted that 7-11 will not be popular because there are not that many 7-11’s around. Those were the reasons we guessed. We polled and analyzed the data of our classmates and teachers as follows.
Our predictions were absolutely correct! Twenty-three people preferred CU and eighteen preferred GS25. But there were more women who voted for CU. Forty something percent of men voted for GS25. This data shows that CU is the most popular convenience store, but it is hard to choose the number one convenience store.

New School Lunch Menu

Are you bored with our normal school lunches? We think it doesn’t satisfy most students, so we made four categories to choose from for a new favorite school lunch. The options are Korean ramyeon, pizza, ice cream, and pancakes.
First, Korean ramyeon is very addictive and pizza has many flavors when you eat a full bite. Ice cream is cold but creamy, so it’s perfect for summer. Lastly, pancakes are very delicious because of the toppings like maple syrup and honey.
Before we knew the results of the vote, we had a prediction that ice cream would be the most popular. One reason is that summer is around the corner, so we thought everyone would vote for it. The second reason is that we don’t think that there isn’t anyone who dislikes it!
The result was that Korean ramen was the most popular among Peony students. Our English teachers, though, voted for pizza the most.
