Blood is a good source of protein and iron, which mosquitoes need to grow their eggs. This is why only female mosquitoes will bite you.

Q2. Why do humans have bones?– Elena (G5 Rose)

It would be impossible to stand up or move around without bones. They’re what give us shape and also keep important things like our brains safe.

Q3. How many cells make up our bodies?-Jeff (G5 Ume)

Scientists aren’t exactly sure, but they estimate a normal adult has somewhere between 30 and 40 trillion cells!

Q4. Why do you love exercising, like running and cycling? -Mia (G4 Ume)

I believe you have me confused with Michael Wheeler. I am terrible at riding a bike and do not enjoy it at all.

English class is so fun because your English teachers are all amazing, awesome, and totally cool people.

Q6. How many hotdogs can a person eat?-Janice (G5 Ume)

Currently, American Joey Chestnut holds the world record for eating 76 hotdogs in 10 minutes.

Endorphins! Endorphins are chemicals in your brain that make you feel happy. You can also fill your brain with endorphins by getting exercise.

Because it’s true. He is incredibly cool.

    Try to review your stories several times before the tests. Study a little bit every day instead of all at once. Also, maybe try baking cupcakes for the B class teacher. It can’t hurt!

    I would absolutely want to be a guitar-playing frog. Yes, my breath might be bad, but I could change people’s lives with my amazing guitar playing.

    Hamburger literally means “from the city of Hamburg.” The German city of Hamburg was the first place to finely mince meat to make a patty, like you see in a hamburger today.

    Timber wolves. They look so cuddly even though they have those big, scary teeth.

    First, you’ll need to get a lot of carbon. Then, if you can press that carbon together with 825,000 pounds of pressure per square inch and get the temperature up to 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, that carbon will form into a diamond!

    Not as far as we know. But he did use a pen really well!

    A monster. Whoever made mint chocolate must have been a monster.

    Q18. Why do adults like to drink coffee?-Taylor (G3 Orchid)

    As you get older, you just get more tired. Coffee helps keep the tired from overwhelming us.

    The Dalai Lama said, “Our prime purpose in life is to help others. And if you can’t help them, at least don’t hurt them.” 

    Q20. How can we live a useful life?-Max (G5 Orchid)

    Find something that you can do well and then use that to help others and contribute to your community. Follow what makes you happy, and share that happiness with others.
