The theme of this student project is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle”, which matches the theme of the stories in Module 7 which are all about helping our communities and caring for the environment. For this project, students began by learning about “the three R’s”; reduce, reuse, recycle. They learned about different ways we can practice these concepts and what happens to our trash when we throw it away. To follow up, students created a poster to advertise and persuade others to practice the “three R’s” and take care of the environment. They presented their posters to their classmates and we hung them in the classrooms in order to encourage others to be more environmentally conscious.
